Since all the pictures are gone, any chance you can post one of the whole car?

Yeah I'm afraid Photobucket has decimated all my threads and I'm not dedicated enough to re-host and repoint them all

But here it is in all it's glory* - don't be seduced by the photos, it's a lot rougher in the metal..

That's lovely. I've got Falcon Ziex 914s on the 825 and they seem hard durable and economical, which is ideal. Not the quietest or grippiest, though, and the car makes some very Gran Turismo-like tyre squeal when driven hard.

That still looks bloody great, I loved them when they came out.

Cheers, I drove it up to Carfest North yesterday in Cheshire, well more specifically my mate drove it up there because I was still hungover and I drove it back - it even topped 30mpg on the way there - slightly less with me driving on the way home

It still has a few niggles which I'm yet to get to the bottom of though, mainly it hunts on idle and always has done ever since I've had it (it was one of the faults the previous owner thought to mention, whilst neglecting to mention the lack of 4th gear).  At best it means the idle is slightly high (around 1200-1300rpm) this wouldn't be an issue but being an auto it means its always straining at the leash whilst sat at traffic lights and suchlike.  At worst it causes it to randomly splutter and die, such as in the queue for the M6 toll booth yesterday - this means you have that brief heart stopping moment when you turn the key to restart and nothing happens, you remember it needs to be in N or P to start - do that, it starts up idling at 1500rpm, you re-engage D because the queue has moved, because the revs are so high it thumps into gear with an alarming jolt and off you go again.

The other is that somehow, some ATF is making its way onto the exhaust whilst cold which results in a small amount of smoke coming through the heater vents occasionally...it stops once its up to temperature.  This problem is significantly worse if you happen to be towing, when the little bit of smoke becomes a very lot of smoke and can be quite concerning.  Again, it stops as the journey goes on.

These need further investigation, but as yet I haven't been arsed had the time
