Ebay car challenge

Got an e mail this morning from ebay.  They will give £4000 to three car restorations, have to write in and give a story and some pictures.

 

Well that's a nice idea and I am sure very welcome.  Is there a catch?  Well....sort of.....

 

They ask for 'barn find with amazing potential' or 'family heirloom gathering dust'.  So by implication, something that needs a lot of work, right?

 

The 'awards' are notified on the 22nd April 2016.  The restorations have to be finished by the 3rd of July 2016.  Thats about 8-9 weeks.

 

Someone's never restored a car.  Though they may have watched a few too many episodes of car SOS.....at least on that it is their day job so they can devote full time to it.  Not many of us can do that!  

 

Great chance for someone who has in reality nearly finished a job though.

I just read this email too. My Reliant is done, and i doubt they would be interested in a 2001 Kia that needs an exhaust, 2 wings and a sill for its mot. Was my grandfathers but alas i have no barn.

I think if Kevin Barlas hears about it and enters, they will give him all the prizes, and more.
