Sitting in the airport, preparing to leave for Bulgaria. This should be interesting. I'll post pics of whatever I find! Wonder if I'll find any Talbots?!!

Are you up to date with Bucketeer's spotting thread? ("BBB" or something like that.)

Most of that comes from Bulgaria, so should give you some ideas of what to look out for.

Gdhaydock, explosive-cabbage and I recently got back from a skiing roadtrip to Austria, although none of us has really bothering uploading papped chod & suchlike since we've got back.

So, if you'll forgive the mild thread-hijacking, here are a few pics:

Tidy* LHD Sunbeam-branded Imp in Innsbruck:

Here's a taster for a pic that one of the others will have to upload...

Tons of ladas. Tons of old trucks. Loads and loads of mk2 golfs and old passats (pre B5). Loads of Audi 80's and 90's. Updates and pics to follow...

Love the imp. Hijack away!

Thanks :-)

Most of the good chod pics were taken by Will (explosive_cabbage) as I was usually driving & am also the worst photographer in Western Europe.

The "guess the wheel" pics were based on the local habit of using old steel rims as signpost bases on the ski resorts. A rather good idea tbh, and Will got a fair few pics of them.

Please share info about the general state of winter sports infrastructure in Bulgaria, it's way cheaper than the Alps but it used to be a bit underdeveloped, to say the least... if it's improved we might bear it in mind for future ski trips :-)

Pamporovo is the name of the town / resort. My Lady friend comes here every year and stays in the Snezhanka hotel. Swears by the place. However..... I'm here 40 minutes and there is no fukin snow!! First time in approximately 8 years apparently!

Tons of chod shite though.... so expect epic updates! Whilst on the bus to the hotel I spotted what appeared to be a Talbot Alpine with different front and rear lights.

Probably a Moskvitch Aleko

That would be an old b4 passat rim!

The last week or so in Bulgaria has been unseasonably warm, unfortunately for you. It's nearly 20C further North where I am whereas two weeks ago it was minus20C and snowfull. I have a friend who works in Bansko, another popular ski resort just West of you, and they have pretty much given up for the winter now.
