I love two strokes and the 300s are torquey old buggers, but a four stroke can be as much fun but more predictable. Only down side is weight and even that isn't really an issue any more.

 

I loved riding my IT465 on the lanes but the thing was a beast and only for use on dry days when I stood a remote chance of staying on the bastard!

 

My Yam 450 and Husky TE450  were both brilliant bikes, the Husky was better but less reliable - I'd have another in a heartbeat!

Yeh the 300 is an amazing bike , soo much power from idle . The problem is that I'm only getting out once a month or so so I'm always rusty . A 300 is not a great place to be if you are rusty !

I rode a couple of 250's and just found it easier and tbh more fun to wring the knackers out of them .

The Crf is an old proven design which I like so let's hope I enjoy it .
