New post indicator

Does it work? I know new threads/posts are brown, and read topics/posts are red, but it doesn't seem to be changing when I read something. I even tried clicking on 'mark all topics read' and nothing changed. WTF? Have i missed something?

for some reason it won't let me cancel my own posts! In other words, I make a reply, go back to the forum, click on mark all post as read, and all of em are marked as read except the threads I have replied to, and it's the last post

The orange box bit works fine - it disappears once I've read the latest post - but it's a bit random about showing threads in red. Can't say I pay it much attention!

Yeah I am talking about the thread title. I could see there was a new post in this thread, cos I posted last time O looked, but it was still red!

Oh sorry I thought you meant the little box (I'll never be a proof reader...)!The thread titles are random for me also, I just never pay attention to them.TBH I didn't know what the different colours were for... Perhaps it's just to show the ones you've posted in, rather than whether they are read.EDIT - Nope, that theory doesn't work...

I think you are right, and I am going to ignor the title colour and just look at the new post box thingy.

Does anyone know what the differentcoloured titles are actually for? Are they the same for everybody?

The dark ones all appear to be threads with lots of replys, so presume it means 'hot topic' or something like that

I thought that but on mine Readers Current shite (8pgs) is red but AX's recent shitings (2pgs) is black... also, that's what the wobbly moving boxes are for so I doubt it'll be that...So, close but no cigar methinks. Right.From about page 4 on the main page onwards, everything is black.It's not about the age of the thread though, or the date of the last post.I thought I had it sussed with 'the last post on the first page is older than x days' but on closer inspecton, it's not that. FFS.

I was under the impression that the title text colours were just normal HTML based on your browser history.Brown: Never clickedRed: You have clicked here beforeClear your cache/history and they should all revert to brown.

I thought Red topics were just popular (over a certain no. of posts)?Read topics have a preceding white marker/icon and unread have an orange/brown one.
