What's wrong with this Volvo 740?

Even I wouldn't, and I like a 740.

We've watched all the Luther series this holiday and it's put me right in the mood of a 740.

You speak for yourself!  I've never watched a minute of Luther, never knew he drove a Volvo until it was mentioned on here.

 

I love a cop show, but they all move too slowly these days, like they're wading through treacle, and the lighting budget never exceeds 22p so I can see precisely nothing most of the time.  Might as well be on radio!

All the best TV weirdos have Volvos; Lovejoy, Monk, that architect from Electric Dreams. I loved my 740, they're a good car.

Caroline Quentin had a red 240 estate to drive Jonathan Creek about in, and don't forget Frost had one too!

I thought Frost had a varicose vein blue Sierra hatchback.

So far I've seen Frost in that famous Sierra; a (lady friend's) Bentley; blue Volvo estate; blue Astra estate.  He did seem to like blue!

Verdict;

Buy a GLE estate instead.

This was the family car as a kid...but it was also white. Nicknamed "The Fridge".

 

Ended up nuking some fairly important engine knick knack and was sold off for about $200, probably to a scrapper. Not a dent or speck of rust on it, but the engine woes were just too much.
