chaseracer Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 How about a trip to the old Paul Ricard track? Can we get a go on that one? I have fond memories of playing Chequred Flag on my ZX Spectrum, you see Doesn't the F1 poison dwarf B Ecclestone Esq. own PR? I'm sure* he wouldn't mind...
Taff Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Doesn't the F1 poison dwarf B Ecclestone Esq. own PR? I'm sure* he wouldn't mind... That would be most excellent. We could make lots of jokes* about his slutty daughter as we zoomed** along the track in our sub 70mph cars
rml2345 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 £400 is ample to find a car that would do 2000 miles over a few days but flying to Lithuania and coming back in a Moskvitch would be a proper challenge. If charity is your aim then get sponsored 1p for every mile completed without the aid of a recovery truck. An Autoshite European tour appeals tbough, I can bring the tiny Citroën. Jimmycrackcorn Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Could be as simple as pick a departure date and destination, decide on a rough route and have people put their ideas in on where to go and what to see and do?

John F Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 How about a "Shitefest on tour" road trip to visit our European contributors? Holland, Germany, Austria, Croatia, and up through France on the return leg? I could offer my 1966 Land Rover 109 as the support vehicle. andy18s, Jimmycrackcorn and chaseracer 3

Tamworthbay Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Depending on the dates I would be interested.
dollywobbler Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I doubt I'll be able to afford it, and I'm already hoping to attend the International Citroen Car Clubs Rally in The Netherlands in August, but consider me interested. My suggestion? Set destinations but not routes. Everyone can then find their own way and can then discuss the different routes every evening. Or folk can gang together if they prefer. On the BXagon, most folk stuck together, but we mostly just went off and did our own thing. Jimmycrackcorn and Craig the Princess 2
dave21478 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 If you promise you are not weirdos you can stop here - large garden for camping, tools etc. Jimmycrackcorn, Lacquer Peel and Tamworthbay 3
chaseracer Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 If you promise you are not weirdos... Ah......... rml2345, John F, dave21478 and 1 other 4
rml2345 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 If your definition of wierdo involves brand new German saloons on finance, shiny suits and propety* then we're totally normal. *Other mildly offensive stereotypes are available. Please ask at reception for more details. chaseracer 1
scruff Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I also think these charity banger rallies (and rip off "Charity" classic "adventures" to fucking northern France) are a load of bollocks but fair play to those who have enjoyed it. My old ex-RodB, ex-Keith Adams 400 quid Audi coop had done a few and I'd have had 100% confidence driving it anywhere else. Czecho really is not that far, I've done it several times now in old Landies including Hook of Holland to Kutna Hora in one hit stopping only for diesel. it's far more enjoyable sticking to the B roads though.

In fact it might struggle covering one route, unless it's in oil. rml2345 1
