Six-cylinder Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 This is an all Citroen event, the UK one in 2012 was very good. I was planing to go to the 2016 event in Holland, the only tickets for sale at the moment are event tickets = 4 days , 1 car, 2 people but they are €120. This is without camping which is another €25. I am not sure I want to pay this much to enter a car show, is it me just being mean and out of touch with what things cost? http://icccr2016.com/new/
dollywobbler Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 These big events are never cheap to enter. At Harrogate in 2012, we got an astonishing level of evening entertainment - the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain to mention just one. No extra charge. It was far more than just a car meet. Whether it's worth it is only something you can answer yourself really. I think it's worth it, but don't currently have money spare to buy a prebook ticket.

Trouble is I don't like camping so won't be there to benefit from the evening entertainment. The other problem is I have a very limited range of music I actually like and that does not include an Orchestra of any sort. Of coarse all this objecting could be over ruled when Mrs Cyl finds out I am considering not going!
hairnet Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 no 120 yo is excessive - i just wanna look round for a couple of days - thats two trips on the ferry to somewhere else i hate camping also - chambre dhotes at 40 euro a go why would you
richardmorris Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I feel the same- I was looking at this earlier and costed it all up. Too much for me as I won't camp and there's only so much looking at citroens that even I can take. The French 2cv nationals on the other hand are about 30 euros the week. incl, camping, so you don't feel too ripped off if you only visit for a day or two.

That's what I thought until Harrogate. I'm getting to fewer and fewer Citroen/2CV meets these days. I'd rather go to a bloomin' big one. That said, might well be that I can't afford it anyway by the time August comes around, so who knows. I feel this thread needs more pics. Yes, that is a pair of GS Birotors.
Six-cylinder Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 For me there will more Visas than I can ever hope to see in the UK! dollywobbler 1
