CITROEN CX- Heater and fuse help

Hello knowledgable francophiles..

 

can you advise on the following please:

 

known faults with the series 1 cx heater

 

location of fuse box

 

number of fues that controls the blower motor.

 

 

I have xonsulted google but have become more confused as a result!

Theres a resistor pack in the air intake (to cool it). This often fails when the wires fall off, but can be fixed easily enough with a bit of soldering. Fuses? Could be on the inner wing by the lhm reservoir.

 

From memory, it's held in with two 6mm? Bolts vertically in the spare tyre side of the fan motor housing underneath the intake tower.

 

Other issues s1 have is that the wires to the control levers fracture with age and only make intermittent contact. Quite easy but long winded to fix this- you just need to take the centre console out.

Mine is a 1985 car and this is the fuse page from the owners hand book, heater seems to be in fuse box one.
