I know im setting myself up as a target here, but I just love the classic hot rod oval series. The quality of the cars is amazing.

Charlie Schembri lives round the corner. Not a bad chap.

Recovered my brothers mk3 fiasco when he crashed it into the woods on Christmas day.

What makes you think your setting yourself up as a target?

This is a none contact sport and some of the cars are very well built and looked after, they don't see the road so no salt issues and will be around long after most have been turned Into Hyundai's,

I have seen a mk1 escort repatriated and is now on the road again as good shells are hard to find.

Does anyone know if George polleys son still races, or have the family given it up, its years since I was at the races.

Anything that keeps 50s,60s and 70s saloons thundering around an oval has to be a good thing.   Much better for kids to see hot rod Anglias doing their stuff than to only associate them with giffers, thermos flasks and rickety chairs at car shows.

I don't really like it when classics are destroyed in demolition derbys etc. But this series is fantastic, and the cars are works of art.

Yeah, we (the Midlands Massive and the Northwest P6 Massive) have seen them at Hedno twice now.

It's a very entertaining formula and they are anything but slow.

I hope numbers will increase (this is not a cheap class) to make the racing a bit tighter.

Having said that, Hednesford is a massive track, so it might be worthwhile watching them at Brum.
