In the boozer last night a chap I work with says that his car is fubared and he can't afford to get it fixed, so he needs something to get him to work. He asks me today if I could find him something cheap, reliable, not too bad on fuel and by TONIGHT!

 

Challenge accepted, shite found, negotiations completed and collection scheduled for 7 p.m this evening.

 

If the car is as good as the ad on the bay suggests, I will be utterly jealous.

 

It will be a short trip, only 24 miles away but I'll make sure there's plenty of pics.

The collection was as uneventful as expected,

 

Ex Wuzzum Grand Cherokee loaded up with one expectant new owner and 2 girlies that insisted they were coming as it was within a few miles of a kfc.

 

 

drove through 20 odd miles of Norfolk countryside with no interesting chod to be seen and then we reach the village in question, I think they like eggs round here...

 

 

and there she is, in all her Perkins Diesel glory,

 

A clean, tidy 420 turbo D with 120k on the clock and 9 months mot for 300 of your finest English.

 

 

Pretty straight down the sides apart from a few little scabs on the rear arches

 

 

and all is well here.

 

 

I thought there had been a mistake when I pulled up to the house as a similar colour Rover 45 was sat on the drive, then I noticed the 420 hiding round the corner and when the sellers mother turned up in another red 420 I new we'd struck autoshiters. Apparently the whole family drive rovers
