This is a December 1970. It's been in my daily use since 2008.971379_10151505793680308_1802198093_n.jp

These were all great years from an era we'll never see again.

1969 - seeing your first XJ6 and hearing Space Oddity for the first time, going to a Fleetwood Mac gig with Peter Green on top form, watching the first moon landing on a colour GEC telly. Great days indeed.

2015 - seeing the new 3 Series and hearing something by Lady Gaga, going to an X Factor live show. And...........er.....................  yeah, right. Wall to wall shit and mediocrity.  :?

Our Herald was built within the last couple of weeks of production of 1200s in June '70.  It sat in a showroom until early '71 though, which is hardly surprising.

It never made it off the beach, y'know - all that remains is a small lump of fused alloy where the engine used to be.  Even glass rusts on Planet Fiat 1970...

On the day of the moon landings, I was on a Qantas 707 heading for Bermuda. I lived there for 2-3 years.. we had a Karmann Ghia, PO143. It was light blue. We then moved to Mauritius in 1974 after a short stint in the UK. There, we had a Toyota 1000. No idea of the reg number
