Renault Laguna: wanton destruction imminent...

Make sure you do the window on the same side as the bonnet release, crawling through broken glass isn't fun.

Passenger side, yes?

My neighbour had one of these and misplaced the (only) key card. The AA couldn't pick the lock, had to be dragged away to Renault who managed to break in.

So yes, I'd go with the brick!

Nothing to add, other than luck!

This is progress? Why are we engineering ourselves into such a corner? This makes no sense whatsoever..

I'm not sure which side the bonnet release is on. You can check on the breaker I suppose.

If you cover the window with tape before breaking it there should be less glass to clear up.

Best plan would be to get a door window from a breaker in advance, then break the window on this car. It's not normally that hard to change door windows, certainly easier than trying to crawl in through the air vents or something. Get the replacement window first to make sure Renault haven't found a way to make it difficult. Make sure you do the window on the same side as the bonnet release, crawling through broken glass isn't fun.

then, make bloddy sure that the window you break is the same as the one you have bought.
