Regular oil change and a decent oil system flush is a must with these. Don't use anything other than 5w30 fully synthetic.

 

 

10w40 semi syn is the correct oil for those . But regular changes are important

I always thought it was 5w30 as seen here? Either way regular changes are best.

I worked as a tech in a Honda garage for 7 years during the hrv era . Honda spec is deffo 10w40 but there will be a tolerance

5w30 is prob a us thing for low emissions

Bollox . Hrv has a front wheel bearing failure...  very noisy and it's raining..and it's Sunday and only a hand full of tools here at home . Probably a pig of a job too . Oh well...

 Fixed !!  and had time to watch all the Grand Prix .. which wasn't as bad as the last one
