An alba cassette player with separate graphic equaliser, preferably with eleventy slider controls on it.

Mount both of these with strips of yellow mechano under the dash where you can't quite reach them from the driving position. Add a pair of Pye pod speakers to the rear shelf but be certain to fit these in the dark so the wiring is untidy and prone to catching in the hatch shuts.

A Halfords-supplied stick-on high level brake light brings your safety* up to a suitable standard. Until the first time you slam the hatch of course, when it will fall off.

Pester your parents endlessly for a set of auxiliary spot lights for your birthday, then wire them up badly to your main beam. Be sure to use scotch blocks! no soldering for you, young man.

You are now transported back to Swansea, 1995

Fido dido is great, what about some of those plastic blocks with the reflectors that go on the back edge of your doors to stop you scraping them, 1993 is new

As for the spotlights you need to buy a set of Rally Giants out your mums catalogue at 22 pence a week over two years.

But you still will have the covers nicked in no time..post-9282-0-32694900-1434536889_thumb.jpg

Back in '93 our family wheels were an F reg Skoda 130GL. In addition to the stick on blind spots, this also featured Halfords fog lamps, beaded seat covers, door guards with the little orange reflectors (on all 4 doors), dash mounted digital clock, seperate 5 band Graphic Equaliser, Stick onTurtle Wax air freshener and dual Sunsites (a budget Eurocamp) GB stickers which proved it'd made it to France & back twice. This was on top of all the lovely accessories that the manufacturer provided such as double rear fogs, vynl roof and obligatory Lombard Rally Winners sticker.

I think this is the air freshener I had stuck to the dash of my old XR2i circa 1993..post-9282-0-68441800-1434547099_thumb.jpg
