John F Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I'm looking for some kind of a double or (ideally) triple seat with in-built seatbelts to fit to my LT for its forthcoming trip to Germany - not too bothered about colour, condition, etc. as it will only be a temporary fitment. Can anyone help?
holbeck Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Try sending a PM to 'the Moog', ISTR he stripped out some minibus seats recently. John F 1
Volksy Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Maybe try one of the bus breakers in Barnsley? John F 1
John F Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 I'd rather keep it in-house if possible... I'll see what reply I get from The Moog before looking elsewhere.
John F Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 The Moog can't help, all his seats are gone. Anyone else got one?
cms206 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 We're quite far away... the breakers at Carlton are most likely to be able to help in your area, though I'll have a word with a couple of operators I know on Teesside on the offchance. John F 1
explosive-cabbage Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Try calling CWS Scrapyard at Salterforth, near Earby John F 1
John F Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Ta for the suggestions folks - the immediate issue might now have been resolved, as KruJoe has offered to temporarily lend me a double seat he bought from The Moog for the trip to Germany & back. Thanks, Joe. I'll have a proper look for a permanent replacement when I get round to refitting the LT's interior. holbeck and KruJoe 2
KruJoe Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Actually, the kind man Moogie gave me the seat, and it was Vulgalouriously delivered for payment in WVO. Moog's pic from inside this:
gdhaydock Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Erm, John when you said you had sorted seating out for me for the Germany trip, this isn't what I had in mind - have you lost the plot? skattrd and KruJoe 2
KruJoe Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 You've brought this on yourself Zippy; you and your fragrant* bowels are best transported outside the cabin.
John F Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 ^ I actually lol'd when I turned up at the unit this afternoon & saw what had happened to my bespoke* rear seat bench... Joe: I decided there wasn't much chance that Zip & Josh would both fit on that Transit seat, so cobbled together a frame for a couple of Range Rover front seats I had lying around. Ta for the offer of lending it though. .
