Janine decided it was to icy to drive to the stable (1hr walk or 5 minutes drive) so off she went on a long walk with the dogs, me after an hour feeling really bad decided i must save my woman from the cold and err the ice got me, cars now parked up by the side of the road as if i move it it'll either 1. slide down the road into the river or 2. fall a few foot into the field its parked close too.. rather not take the risk now waiting for the sun to come out, just had to walk home with the 2 girls (lucky an old chap came out and gave us a lift home, but what a bas*ard now have to walk back later (10 minutes walk) and hope its thawed out enough to move

should she be flattered for me trying to save her or mad as its her car

I'd say it's ass-whuppin time  Maybe she would have been more flattered if you had sacrificed your own car to save her but lookin at the state of the Savanna along side your better kept Vdubs, I'd have used her car too..

Let down the pressure on your front tyres, that should shift it

In our house the Fuhrer is always right/justified/wise after the event etc, and I am just plain WRONG. :D Top marks for trying I say

Not entirely sure I understand what has occured here. Can you not extracate your Rubbish Old Car by means of some crafty bits of old carpet?Or just make amends by cooking her a nice Fray Bentos? [see also: Hirst's Winter Driving Tips]

Don't be daft Pog. Ladies want a bit of wining and dining nowadays, so dust off your wallet, get yourself down to your local newsagent and treat her to a delicious meal of PEK ham and Happy Bread, washed down with a sparkling beverage. That will more than make up for this embarassing incident.

Danb right she should be grateful. If it were me I would habe let her walk.

That's a bit of bad luck Marty - on top of the damaged arm it sounds like you've got a cold too.

A very galant effort sir. Once she has walked the 10 miles to recover said vehicle, she should make you a lovely fish supper. Anything less would require you to administer some light-moderate 'domestic correction'.
