It was truly ropey - whilst I love 'em, there's no way i'd have the heart / ballz to restore one, let alone the budget.

Pretty ropey looking, but appeared to be superficial, didn't get too close to it, unable to tell if it had rubber wings. Sold at £2550.

Interesting how many cars from this auction are reappearing on dealers' sites with £2-3k added to the auction price. No doubt similar will happen with the Stondon cars.

It always strikes me as odd, as I think they go for top money at ACA. Maybe I'm just tight.

I agree, there are not many bargains to be had there. That doesn't stop dealers buying then adding a glowing description, and a couple of grand to the price. I always think dealers' stock is like the housing market: no matter how overpriced it is, it always gets snapped up. Good luck to them I guess, but you do wonder who all the wealthy punters are.
