Do tips take old tyres?

I drive around with them on my car. When I get pulled for 4x bald tyres, the cops will seize and eventually crush the car. For free. Problem solved!

I've had a close look at the tyre in question and it has a bit of tread on it so might put it on here to be given a new home! The tip near here are quite strict. You have to drive up to a cubicle where they ask you what you have in the back of the car and give you an unbelieving look that makes you feel guilty like you've got a body in the back or something. If required I might try the 'cut it into bits and put in bin bags' plan. Sounds a bit gruesome doesn't it?

The tip makes me angry as you always see something you could use, but it's not allowed for anything to escape back out. Oh, n no tyres.

I got rid of my quality part worns* by fly tipping. Council decided the allotments / green space would look better with a shitload of shoebox houses on it. So if they're destroying everything for profit they can have some tyres too.

I also find it funny that the staff at the tip stash away anything they like the look of. What do they do with it? Ebay?

Blimey they sound like disks!

Feel free to bring them to shite fest and I'll run past the tip on my way home. My mums never going to tip tyres and she lives under the same council...

Reminds me of the time i went to the tip. "whats in the bags mate?" - "garden waste", what sort "old turf". "Ok, pop the grass in there and the earth in there", "but its attached", "sorry mate only grass in one and earth in the other". Ok. Took it back home. Next day took the jeep, "whats in the bags mate", "general waste pal", "great, chuck it in there mate ". Job done
