Do hope they get their car back.  Unfortunately I misread the title and thought there was a new car call the Vauxhall Stollen.

Shame, bad enough to steal the car but to wreck the house too  :-(  :-(

Update. This has been found in one piece.

Owner is well chuffed.

The power of Facebook maybe?

That would be a typical spory Vauxhall then. Quite tasty for a bit but rotten within a few weeks

It seems such an inconvenience owning an expensive car nowadays....steal the car if you must you feckin low lifes, its insured!  But someone rifling through my personal belongings for the keys would really make me angry.

I guess that's the thing with moderns. They're so hard to steal unless you have the keys that something a bit tasty is going to make house burglary more likely.

Heard about a spate of similar break ins for car keys locally recently and my wife said we should start hiding our keys. The way I see it I'd rather they found the keys quickly and got the hell out rather than trashing the place. Not that our cars are particularly high on the desirability list anyway!

No, what you do is you get some identical looking keys for your make of car from a breaker (or possibly ebay) and leave them near the front door, let the feckers hook them out then watch them try and unlock the car, after a minute of buggering about they give up, worried that they'll be seen and also thinking that perhaps the car has some super security fitted 8)

While the real keys are kept tucked away upstairs.

That is a great idea but I wouldnt do it on a Ford as any ford key will lock one so its a recipe for disaster .

Hiding keys has also been known to result in the bastards boiling the owners kettle and threatening to scald them...

Sad, but true.

That's far too kind.

my cars don`t always start, even with the keys.....

I usually leave them unlocked. They will break in if they want anyway, just with no damage hopefully
