Wanted WANTED. Volvo V70 phase 1 or 850

Well, I've had this V40 since late December, and it's turned out to be a great little motor, BUT, it's not a V70 or 850.

I'm missing my old V70 which I sold to robinmasters (I'll have that back if you're done with it), so I've decided it's time for another one. It's gotta be cheap and automatic though.

 

I can go down the usual ebay/mongtree route, but the cheapies are normally gone before I can get to them. so maybe word of mouth on here will be better.

 

Anyone got anything, or know someone who's got a V70/850 languishing in a lock up somewhere?

I sold my one for £350, so that's what I'm expecting to pay for my next one.

Needless to say, I'm not expecting a minter.......

Its a volvo, and currently (as at 20:00 on 18 Feb in the year of our lord 2015) at £370 of your finest pound coins. Its not a v70 though. But it is a auto.

It'll go for way more than that, four figures easy. That's a local Volvo specialist to me.

I offered a geezer £350 for a V70 with several issues.

Slippy autobox when cold, suspension work needed, brakes needing work.

He said he had so much interest, he was going to let it run.

It went for £245.

That's much better than my offer, isn't it.

 

Prepare thyselves for a forthcoming ad for my V40.

Shouldn't sell it really, nice car, but the pull of the V70 is just too strong.

Silver with heated grey leather

MOT until late October.

New exhaust from the cat back.

Starts first time, every time.

Tilt/slide sunroof.

Really, really good on fuel.

Cruise sadly not working, it lights up on the dash, but doesn't engage. Will have a quick butchers tomorrow. Might just be a vacuum pipe come adrift.

Excellent heater.

Excellent tyres, but a not matching set.

Pictures tomorrow hopefully, it looks like it's just about to start peeing down here.
