Who needs service history, its a proton, built to take abuse and reliable.

But it gives 'peace of mind'. All that money* you're asking, it should be like a new car.

Base spec misery! If that was a saloon I'd be all over it but I've never ever ever liked the Aerobacks. That's a mega early facelift example too.

Eleventy million bonus points for the "PROTON - JAPANESE TECHNOLOGY, MALAYSIAN STYLE" sticker in the back window.

Rats. My phone doesn't seem to like pictures on this forum. All I see are red crosses.

It's a GL ! Not a GE - truly base spec misery...

The GE came in later, K-reg IIRC; until then the range continued with the pre-facelift 10-model GL, GLS and SE (1.5 only) range.

If anyone needs convincing... Chris Goffey on the 1.3GL saloon and top of the range 1.5SE Aeroback.

GE spec came in to the UK on 'J' plate Facelift 12v Carb pre Mpi cars and was carried over as they rejigged (named) trim levels.

The GL is a 89/90 spec - one mirror and no wheel trims.

Interesting... my dad's pre-facelift H-reg 8v 1.3GLS only had one mirror, my facelift 12v J-reg 1.5GL had two. The only carb'd GE I ever saw was a K-reg 1.3 saloon. I always assumed the trim level rejig was only immediately before the MPi was introduced.
