LUXURY SHITE imminent (Tragic car for a tragic person)

Captain_Slow has a lot to answer for, because he showed me the advert in the first place.

I collect it next weekend, when the list of gripes I found will be looked at in more detail. They are:

On most settings the front offside headlight is making a funny "tick tick tick tick tick tick!" sound. I will upload a video later if YouTube lets me.

Drivers door will not open from the outside. This fault showed itself just before I made an offer.

All windows other than the driver's are sticking.

This dent:

Radio will only play WHITE NOISE FM - YOUR CHOICE FOR THE LATEST WHITE NOISE BANDS, NEWS AND FEATURES

Inners of the rear arches are going crispy, so I will stamp that out ASAP.

Boot leaks slightly (they all do that, Sir)

Best game of Airport Shopping Dare ever.

You'll enjoy it, in all seriousness. It's like an XJ40 in that it's automatic, well trimmed, and dismal. The difference is that this won't bankrupt you while you're enjoying it! Well bought.

Ha!

I do like how it drives and the FLA$H 4 UR CA$H factor of it.

Just need to get the niggles sorted and it will be a fine automobile.

The interior on this looks like an affordable version of that found in the Rolls Royce Silver Spur.

Praise indeed!

Am ganna have to gan back, Mr Partridge

I keep droppin bits!

might as well lube the window channels with a goodly squirt of wd40* to help with smoothy smoothness on the window front

*other squirty products may produce similar results

^^It has to be worth a try before I start pulling the poor thing to bits.

Cheers Trigg. Like I say, pictures flatter it. It's not seen a rattle can sinse the new millenium looking at the paintwork. But the interior is a real high point and will clean up a treat!

Silicone spray is the stuff for window rubbers.

Auto Glym used to do one years ago but failing that try some pound shop bumper black.

Did the coupé really have fixed rear windows? How hard would it have been to let them come down for that XJ coupe look? Mind you it took Jaguar about a million man hours to seal them properly. What other luxury coupés denied their rear occupants any windage? Gamma? Granny Ghia?

Nice car - a decent alternative to an XJ40

Here's the headlight which is making the odd sound. No idea why the video has been categorised as "comedy". It's not very funny, unless you have a strange sense of humor.

**UPDATE**

Insured and taxed, my shite is legal.

Tax was painless, the online service is GR9.

Pick it up tomorrow afternoon, but I want it NOW.

Still, at least I can set my moisture trap up in the meantime...

Are you laughing at a possible double meaning of "moisture trap", or that my car is so rubbish it needs one, or both?
