I paid £2500 for a mint 40K  '89 XR2 in crystal blue back in 1993. I found it quite a fun drive - handled and stopped much better than any normal fezza.Performance was OK about the same as an MX5 or similar. I pretty much ran it into the ground by 1998 with nearly 200K miles...

 

 

Was the 205GTI better? Certainly but the little Xr never put a foot wrong.
