Anybody recommend something that shifts oil stains of paving slabs?

I know gunk used to do something but not seen it for ages.

Tesco cheap hand washing powder worked well for me....Cheaper the better, it seems, the eco stuff is no good.

Brick acid.

Or whatever the fuck I used once, that even lifted the painted white lines from the side of the road! :-)

I used Autosmart G101 took it off the pavement that the Rialto had leaked oil on.

+1 for brick acid, just make sure you rinse good after if you've got pets that will lick the floor

Biological washing powder and hot water.

I removed all traces of 5 litre of used engine oil from a concrete slab after some* idiot managed to drop the car off ramps with a bucket of oil still underneath!

Is it my imagination or did I read somewhere that cheap cola is pretty effective?

I have always given it a scrub with a concentrated mix of washing up liquid which I find tends to lift most of it off without involving anything harmful to pets. Occasionally another scrub with. Bit of Meths helps break it up a bit more
