My dad's P reg 420 GSi had the coolest electric windows.

They seemed to travel to the full extremity, upwards and then push outwards to seal.

You could see it spread the rubber.

 

That, and the fact they weren't child safe. Neither was the sunroof.

 

Does the big 6 do the same?

 

As I was saying, Ben, I can still remember looking through the brochures for these, as if it was yesterday.

Great looking 600 Looks like somebody has spent some money on it putting the TI seats and alloys on it.

The only Rover that had the recaros was the 800 vitesse the 600 had the same material but in my experiance the bolsters were alot smaller and the seats were alot softer than the vitesse recaros

I hadn't noticed but will investigate the windows trickeries.

Don't investigate too much. They're a bit notorious for the mechanisms falling apart entirely.

The metal sliders on the windows are so flimsy Mine went and I just bent it back straight.

Another 600 foible is the windows are secured along the bottom by plastic holders which sometimes break.

My advice would be to get some lube and lube up the rubbers

Sorry also the fake wood will turn out to be real if you take it apart

It's probably best not to open the windows at all in fact. Ever.
