My only injury was utterly destroyed wrists! I was until 5am dousing them in Deep Heat. Not comparable to 36 hours of sleep deprivation.

I think Joe pretty much tried to obliterate all of us, although not sure how he ended up on top of John's kart at one point

 

Yeah, I did spend some time "exploring the boundaries". I was only stranded atop John_F's kart (and his left foot) after he followed me hard into that apex. Proper shoveled me up, he did. That wrote his one off. After they untangled us, he had to hobble back to the pits for a fresh one.

 

I've been aching all over like a bastard, but Ibuprofen is currently my best friend. My back and rib-cage took a beating on the first run out because I'm a scrawny waif and didn't use a seat padder (and I T-boned Zippy HARD, which rattled us both about a bit).

My worst injury was caused by my left arm continuously clattering the side of the seat as I clung on at full throttle around those super-grippy hairpins on the boards upstairs. The bruising around my elbow is quite impressive - it's bigger than my bloody face!

Are you allowed heavy contact? Last place I went they went mental if you so much as touched another kart. From the pre-emptive bollocking they gave us you would never have guessed that we'd just handed them a big pile of cash.

"Allowed", no. It was technically a black-flagging offence, but the track staff were pretty chilled out.

 

We (OK, mainly Joe) had fairly substantial contact with the barriers or other karts on most laps, but they didn't seem that concerned.
