I remember it being called the Evening Echo and back then it was a proper evening paper. On a Friday about 20+ years ago there used to be a big motor section full of local chod for sale, now you might get a hand full of cars on a Friday mostly KA's and Fiesta's that local dealers cannot shift for love nor money.

Yeah Ebay killed the newspaper smallads. I remember the 'under £500' section being full of old Metros, Maestros, Montegos, MK3 Escorts, MK1/2 Fiestas, MK2 Astras, Volvo 340/240's, Fiat Unos, all that good stuff for peanuts back in the early 2000's. Quite rare there's anything of interest in there now, which is why I posted this Volvo on here. It would be a shame if it fell into the wrong hands.
