The Lemon books aren't bad, Australian publications so more than their fair share of market-specific Ozshite.

i'd be intrested in the 2nd and 3rd book, but sadly dont have a ebay account and after getting scammed this week, im not opening one either..take cash????the ones im intrested in are crap cars and ten careful owners.. :roll:

Those "Lemon" books are pretty good, I bought them both when I was in Oz. Not seen that "10 Careful Owners" one before.

All I did was offer him £500 sheets for an L-reg TDi Disco, which was not too derogatory I'd have thought, especially given the chaps propensity to make other folk often low offers.He wanted £750 which is more that I'd want to pay, and I wouldn't want to travel a 150 mile round trip if negotiation wasn't possible, so a fair gambit I'd have said. I actually really had to bite my tongue as he'd previously really tried to pressure me into selling him my Volvo for about £400 (it eventually made £700-odd, as I expected).

£500 is hardly a derisory offer for a £750 asking price. Was he incapable of simply turning the offer down?
