Twiggy Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1997-R-VOLVO-940-2-3-LPT-SE-AUTO-ESTATE-/121422296183?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c45553477 Presumably the guy is either bonkers or jesting...
richardmorris Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I reckon it was £1000 and they've now bumped the price to stop offers. Or you're right and he's been sniffing the carpet glue. Twiggy 1
Leyland Lawrence Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I always wonders what happens then? Surely they immediately incur final listing fees as a proportion of that enhanced sum because someone made a rogue bid?
Bobthebeard Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Well, it does only have five owners in total....
Ghosty Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 MicraShed should phone up and offer £100k for it at 3am.
Cheggers Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 He says he's taken a deposit, so it's probably to stop everyone else ringing his phone off the hook.
Bobthebeard Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 MicraShed should phone up and offer £100k for it at 3am.Bet he doesn't. If he does, Mr Bollox will phone him up at 3.05 am and tell him off. Parky 1
Conrad D. Conelrad Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I always wonders what happens then? Surely they immediately incur final listing fees as a proportion of that enhanced sum because someone made a rogue bid? No final value fees on classified ads. But even on motors auctions they're capped at £35.
richardmorris Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Why not just take the add down though?
Bobthebeard Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Why not just take the add down though?Exactly.... Don't understand......
panhard65 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 These guys are across the road from the mot station I use. They had a big clearout earlier this week 2 lorry loads of old volvo's hiab'ed away to the crusher. I would of got pictures but didn't have my camera with me. Looked like 740's mainly. I will always re-use an ebay classified ad as it is free advertising I sold 3 cars on one 14.99 ad last year so why not use it rather than just ending the listing early and paying the robbing ebay bastards another 15 quid.

Why punt it up to £100k?
Parky Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Almost tempted to offer him £105k if he taxes it for me.......
mercrocker Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I think panhard's right....He will reuse the ad for something else, the cars been sold so he doesn't want people bothering him for something that's already sold (unless they are prepared to pay £stupid of course). OK he might look a nob for a few days but hes got a free advert to re-use...
