So sorry I couldn't do a collection thread.

I've been and collected my new car today and really couldn't believe my luck as it seems I bagged the bargain of the century.. And it even came with 5 months tax and test and only 57000 on the clock.

When I collected the car it had over half a tank of juice in the tank so it was a just a 150 mile blast home in the end, but while I was at it I did throw two bottles of cataclean in the car.

The interior is nigh on mint condition as well.

And the Audi Concert system sounds great.

The only problem I have is the revs don't go back to tick over occasionally and between 3000/4000 rpm the car holds back and is missing.

But I undid this sensorpost-9282-0-51290300-1409427255_thumb.jpg

And now the car is running a dream.

I couldn't get my cheap vag/com lead working but I believe it to be coolant or Maf sensor related.

So next week the polish is coming out and it should clean up a treat and I will do a bit of investigation work.

It only cost me £222 but I thought I would be generous I give £225 for the old girl.

The only problem is I'm getting pressured into selling my mint condition old A4 but I'm not going to try too hard to sell it and would like to keep it as a spare and store it in my garage.

So now I have one of the very first B5 A4's and one of the very last.

I will say the later one soaks up the bumps better but the steering on the earlier model is a lot more direct and I think it has a better lock.

I think it's to do with the early ones have a double wishbone layout which was dropped on the later ones due to the cost of maintenance.

So I'm more than happy with my new buy :)

...Which is what it's all about really!  Good news there, nice to have something to smile about.
