What do we think, generic Moggy, MO, Oxford or something else entirely?

Oxford I think the series 2 minor splitty wasn't out till late '53 I think.

Oxford aye, I believe Mercrocker owns the Cowley which shared the same body but was the economy version. Nice cars, but not at that price for me.

Odd. Morris Oxford from 1948-1954 was the MO series, the one like a Minor on steroids. The series 2, and its el cheapo sibling the Cowley (sorry mercrocker :)) didn't come out until about 1955. The Minor did gain an ohv engine in 1952, but remained the MM series until the Series 2 with wavy grille came about in about 1954. The mystery deepens, but that price looks a bit strong for any early 50s Morris that needs work.

Edit: on checking the series 2 did come out with the early grille, but seems to have overlapped with the MM. So it does appear to be a Minor.

No apologies needed - Love my one sunvisor and no chrome!   I reckon its a Minor - they went Series II in 1952 (cheese cutter grille, high headlamps, 803 cc Austin lump) MMs finished with the sidevalve IIRC...Lotta money for a minor but nice history.  Should be Empire, rather than Almond Green though.

I reckon early SII Minor as well. Price a little steep, personally I'd get a nice original, scruffy one for less than half the price.

This made me grin. Advertising a car, what do you think a buyer would want to know. Fuel? Engine size? Mileage? Fuck it, I just want to know if the bumpers are coded.
