Mabel you silly old mare you've flooded the Rover, that's the last time I let you drive.

I like the caption saying it was "driven by an elderly couple" - it might have been better if only one of them was driving!

Closer look.

Couple of Renners too. May as well take a walk further down.

Even more Renners.

Check out the 4 pick-up.

Edinburgh, 1970.

Devon / Renner contrast. At first glance I thought the Austin was a Jowett Javelin.

A Jowett / Renault contrast looks like this:

"Here's one I did earlier". :-)

Good try with the Austin.

Pic fits right in with the 1970 ones.

Interesting. What's along here?

Rovers.

At first I thought it was a wider angle view of The Junktowers Garden, than we normally get to see.

That report is wrong, there were three people in that P6 and it belonged to a lady called Annie Walker.post-17414-0-41563000-1526208150_thumb.jpeg

Apologies for colour photo, in my defence it was black and white in our house when I saw it on the telly.

Two tins of paint and not enough in either of them to spray the whole car. What a conundrum.

Tin barrels.

The British motor industry seemed secure at this point, judging by this photo.

(These photos shamelessly stolen from "Surrey in the Seventies" by Mark Davison and Ian Currie)

1970. What is it? Any guesses? I have a pic from another angle.

MG Magnette ZA.

That high roofed Commer PB must have had fun* handling on its narrow track.

Yaaaay :-)

(Close enough. I just recognise it as a Magnette, don't know exact model. Small single tail-lights. Might be a Wolseley 4/44 version? Pic too blurry for detail).
