Volvo 7/900 Estate Capacity

My car's stored miles away from my house but I need to check whether something will fit in it... Does anyone have load area dimensions for a 740 Estate with the seats folded? (Length/Width/Height obvs).

If it won't fit in a Volvo estate (one way or another, including folding-up, dismantling or chucking on the roofrack), it isn't worth having.

It depends on how thoroughly you dismantle the Volvo estate. If it still doesn't fit, buy a set of roof bars and carry it on that,

Surely putting a Volvo estate into a Volvo estate creates some sort of black hole into which EVERYTHING fits?

Maybe if you hammered a slightly smaller Volvo estate (an 850 perhaps) over it you may solve your problem?

Many antique dealers avoided them since the load height was too shallow for the typical height of some very valuable furniture. The more discerning punters recognised a Volvoid-dealer - the legs were hacksawed off by an inch and a half. As well as being sufficiently massive, a CX also didn't bang and crash about the same way, if you routinely carried genuinely valuable items.
