seacow Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Sorry if this has been on already but aldi had their annual release of compressors for 90 or 100 quid. Anyway ours has some left marked down to 75 and assorted tools for a fiver each. I don't need one but fancy a play. I hear they are average but should I do it?
Cavcraft Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Thanks for the heads up, for that sort of price they sound like decent value for money.
meshking Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I've had mine for around five years now. Resprayed a 2cv, and pumped up umpteen bike tyres. Noisy buggers, but for £75 wcpgw?
seacow Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 Well I did it - got the compressor, paint gun, tyre inflator, three hoses, spot blaster, nail gun (come on!!) shears, cut off tool, 2 litres of oil, a regulator/lubricator and some stuff I can't remember for less than £150. Probably never use most of it but I am chuffed with that! Bren, gordonbennet and brickwall 3
sporty-shite Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I got one a good few years ago, sling with tyre inflator, spot blaster (never used), airbrush (never used), spray gun (never used) and it's been really handy. The impact gun is decent, although you have to crack the bolts first, and it's just really handy to be able to pump up tyres without arsing about at the pez station at 50p a go. +1 on the noise, like, but what do you want for less than a ton? Verdict: I <3 German supermarkets.
Bren Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Sounds like a bargain. However I have some machine mart vouchers - waiting to save some more then go on a VAT FREE day.
derskine Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I bought air shears the other day for £9 which I thought was pretty good and will save me getting cramp using tin snips all the time.
brickwall Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Is this it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smrIIJUssOQ
RedSparrow Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 We had one at my old work, having got through several more expensive big brand ones. It's still going strong 6 years later, can't recommend them highly enough.
