As my Skoda Octavia has been built and is currently heading to the dealers for prep, I can offer out my old V40

My part ex offer on the Volvo is £400 so that's what I want, the car will be available to pick up sometime in the next 2 weeks.

The Car

A 2002 V40 2.0S, Petrol 1948cc, manual, poverty spec, I have owned it for 9 years.

You get a decent sound system, air con and comfortable cloth seats.

Tax is till the end of April and MOT is till early May.

It is located in darkest Birmingham.

Condition

It is approaching 147k miles and currently gets used 300 miles per week.

It has full service history up to 132k miles and since then has had

New rear calipers, discs and pads

4 new tyres

some fresh oil and water

The car currently uses about 0.5 litre of oil and water per 2000 miles, The water loss appears to be through the exhaust when cold only, I have not detected any water/oil mixing.

Basically if I was asked to drive it up to John'O'Groats tomorrow, I would not worry that the car would not make it or that I would be uncomfortable.

The body has no rust though there is a scrape in the right rear where I got hit while parked.

All warning lights switch on and off as they are meant to

A couple of the switch back lighting bulbs have failed and the right rear door lock can be occasionally fussy.

Good luck with sale Julian. I've seen and been in the Volvo and it is really nice. Sadly I'm a bit too far away now to consider buying this.

If you want the Volvo they may be knocking it out on ebay in the near future, or just sell it direct for the £400 (All Electric Garages Kings Heath).

I had the Volvo for 9 years and this one has to last 10 so it's expensive but spread out over a long time.
