Anybody here got a MAKRO card? (veg oil content)

Hi all,

 

I've noticed MAKRO have some good deals on veg oil and I want to become a member so I can buy some, The Mum-in-law has a card but it hasn't been used for about 5 years so is probably defunct by now.

 

Up until late last year I was self employed, could I use the documents from that period to get a card? Can I just turn up and get one on the spot?

I revived my old Makro card after a good few years of inactivity, so you may be ok. Otherwise, I think they ask for bills with your trading name on them. I'm pretty sure you could blag it a bit. Could be easier to just ring your local store and ask what they'll accept. I don't think they're that bothered TBH.

Tell them you run a scout group - thats how I got mine

You'll need scout headed paper or your badge/card though, I had to show appropriate stuff when opening a Costco account

Trade only, so pretty much, yes.

You dont need a card if you buy it online, spend over £60 and they'll deliver it free.

Well, I managed to get a card!

 

 

 

All I needed to do was show them a form from HMRC stating I was self employed (which I was, last year) and some photo ID and that was it, card is in the post!

 

The XM loved the veg oil I fed it. Lets hope it doesn't somehow kill it or something.
