Hats off sir, excellent spots. Makes me realise how rubbish it is for spotting here in Kent, I've been taking pictures here for six months and haven't found the quality or quantity that you have in Southend in a day.

 

I'm pretty sure I've photographed the Sierra estate before as it used to be parked regularly on the bloke's drive in Wakering before it was replaced by the green hatch. Obviously it had plates then, think it was a G reg. That old camper is laughably bad, I always wanted to get a photo of that. Bet the neighbours love them (although it's a shit area so maybe they don't care).

Yeah that Tranny Camper fits in nicely with the area to be honest! There was loads of tat round there including the lovely blue Victor!

 

Those 2 Sierra's are now on a driveway just off Prince Avenue near Kent Elms, the green one I papped at B&Q near Waitrose a few months ago.

 

I think there was an Oporto red SD1 parked next to that tatty red XJS last year but its gone now

Yep  I went for a 1.5 hour bike ride in to town Sunday morning and papped the lot, apart from the Lancia which I papped in a neighbouring town (Rayleigh) later in the day!

 

Apart from the last two cars they were all within about a mile radius of each other.

In front of the Transit is a Herald and an Austin A35. Very strange old bloke who runs that place, a bit of a hoarder I think.

I saw that blue Sapphire from my living room window last week

The unidentified blue car is the 1969 Renault 10 I papped outside its old house in Leigh when it was on the road. Shame really, seems to have been stripped down then forgotten about. The car next to it is a pre-war Standard 10.

 

The Austin is an A30, and has barely moved an inch since 2010 when it appeared there. 

 

The black car by Lidl on Woodgrange Drive is a Dutton Sierra, a MK1 Escort based kit car.

 

As always, top spotting! I always forget how much tat there is in Southend, no idea why old stuff survives so well here. I'm back from university now, so hope to do a bit of spotting myself over the summer period.

I saw that Peerless from a distance some months ago and wondered what it was, I thought it was an Aston! Followed the Rialto along Eastern Avenue yesterday, it was going really well. Great spots, you've captured most of the shite around here!

 

A bit further along from the Honda pickup there's a derelict MK1 Astra GTE down the side of a house (on local WEV plates if I remember rightly) and on the other side of the road a driveway with a derelict Mini, Midget and Herald on it, although they've now been covered (presumably) to ward off scrap hunters.

 

ERD 990 is a rather nice 1950 Austin A40 Devon. I spoke to the owner when it first appeared there and got pictures of it and my Somerset together. Nice chap.

 

The Scim belongs to my mate's dad, he offered it to me a couple of years ago but I had to decline due to too many projects already. It's been off the road for 24 years and was dry stored for most of that time, but it does need a huge amount of work.

Papping that green MK2 Cortina was a PITA as the owners kept coming out loading stuff into another car.
