Thanks Skiz! We are quite spoilt for tat here in this corner of Essex, the driest place in Britain. That certainly seems to improve the life expectancy of the local chod.

The Rangey's getting welded up at the moment, it's a 4-door shell on a 3-door chassis (no seriously) that was first re-built int he late eighties and needs doing again, it's a beauty - 3.5 V8 powah.

There's also a sand 2a that belongs to his daughter, and the caravan's a honey too. 

 

Still surprised you've not ended up down my road yet.

Think I have been down your road, what am I looking for a Capri or LR? There is a old red 1980's Capri rotting away just round the corner from you but its a bugger to pap as its behind a hedge and the owner leaves his wheely bins behind it so not much of it to photograph.

 

Made the mistake of going out yesterday without the camera over Hadleigh way, some nice tat over there so will go back with the camera sometime soon..

Both of mine are on the drive, within spitting distance there's also a smart 2a Landy, MGB, brown mk3 Astra, Rover 800 coupe and some other assorted chod. Good neighbourhood.

Yeah on Ashingdon Road on the left before turning right into Brays Lane, its well tucked away though, can only really see it from the pavement, not from the road.

 

I have cut through your way on my bike a few times so will have a better look next time, I like to try to stick to pre 1990 spots

Ah no way, can't believe that's still there! Know exactly the one, used to have a Bedford camper on the drive too.

That's an A60 (or Morris, I haven't checked yet) 1/2 ton van. Was almost completely covered until recently, when a storm ripped the cover off. It's been there years, and has some great period signwriting on it. I always used to wonder what it was

 

Edit - the van has been off the road so long it's not on the DVLA computer any more. Local reg though.

Excellent spots! Saw that Marina once parked up by Nazareth House about two years ago, but have never seen it since!

 

The 505 has been there for years, photographed before by me, but has been turned around on the drive since I last went past. There's an old CF camper opposite that's been there since the 90's. A couple of streets away there's a very original white Avenger on a K plate.

 

The Corolla hatch belongs to a forklift driver at Asda in Shoebury, it's a right old state with loads of MoT welding on the sills. Excellent to see he's still keeping it going.

 

The Renown has been parked there a few years now, its previous owner lived along Ashingdon Road in your manor Sadly the current owner doesn't seem to hold much enthusiasm for it apart from as a money making opportunity, shame really.

 

The Roller, despite appearances, is in regular use and is in very good condition, despite living in that front garden in a rough part of town. There's a ropey example of the same model on Ambleside Drive in Southchurch, with a personal plate and flat tyres.

 

Oh yes, and that pink Nissan Bluebird in the conservation area had a for sale sign in the window last time I drove past, £300 I think it said.

Ah yes now you mention it I remember a guy into his classics along Ashingdon Rd with that old Renown, think he also had an old MGB and was talking to me about the SD1 one day a few years ago.

On the London Road at the top of Darlinghurst Grove. It was on the right hand side just past Chalkwell Park (going London Bound).

 

Its now a 2nd hand car showroom. My nan and grandad lived down Darlinghurst Grove and as a kid I always saw new Volvo's like the one pictured driving past (late 80s early 90s) but the dealership is now long gone.
