It's an Atalo Califforne 49cc moped thingy. WTF is that you ask! It's an Italian moped made by the Atalo cycle company. Duh!

Here be the brow-sure:

It is the dual seat with a rack version (in blue, the bilke not the seat or rack).

They look a bit like a posh Tomos moped to me but what do I know.

I've had the 'ped for about 4 years and it has been stored in a friends Scout Hut for 3 1/2 of those years. It is complete but hasn't been started in that time. I doubt that there is anything horrible to do more than just a good clean out, a fresh plug and go juice, after all it is just a 2 stroke 'ped. How difficult can it be?

The 'ped had been cherished by its previous elderly owner and is quite a smart thing really. I'd actually nearly forgotten about it until this morning when I was tidying my car shite drawers and found the leaflet, etc.

Price? Feck knows. Make me an offer, although I suspect something around the £175 ono mark is about right, or a direct swap for a nice beige leather interior for an MGF would be happily agreed upon. Hey, has to be worth a try.

No piccies just yet as it is somewhere other than where I am at the moment.

PM me if you haz vague interest in any of the purchasing options.

Ken

Cheers mate, I am sure it'll go somewhere.

If anything that looks to me like it's based on one of the '70s Garelli mopeds.  Is it a 2-speed auto or just a single speed?

Posted

I like it. It looks way better than the bulbous things of today. it's the same with cars it appears.

Cool, id love a Tomos again,

I think it's a 2 speed. Yeah, I can see the Garelli but to me it does look more Tomos (slightly).

It's a neat little thing. I have the owners manual, the V5C, a coupple of MOT's and the assembly instructions.

Dunno, might even have a fiddle round with it. Maybe.

Posh Tomos made me laugh, hope it finds a good home.

Two wheeled tat is a lot easier to hide than four so i'm sure someone will take it on...

Ed march is a cracking chap. But loony but sound! I had a tomos a3. No pedals on mine. Must have been a Ghia trim.

I brought it home in the back of the Amica. Obviously partially dismantled. The moped, not the Amica. However, all AS delivery services are to be positively encouraged.

It would be a right laff getting the train down then riding that back to the Northeast.

I'd be back just in time for my summer hols

Wow, think of the AS kudos for that epic adventure!!! Actually, no. Think of the amount of pile cream you would need to order in. That would be epic.

If you dont get any other offers i could raise £125 delivered as obviously i cant collect.

BALLSAMAZEMPG!

This reminds me that I need to dig the puch maxi out from its grave in the back of the garage.

I'd give that a home in the sun, sure it'll bungee on the roof rails of the ZX and not affect the consumption at all at all.   And still be cheaper than breakdown cover.  I'll give you an 10 euro cents for each km it'll have to travel or 122 of your Great British Poonds
