hi i have a 1982 4 door datsun laurel 2.4 auto been dry stored 8 years 28500 miles whats it worth

If it's a C31 (and I'm assuming it is if it's a 1982 car), then probably not a huge amount.  They seem to be the "forgotten" Laurel, probably because they're a bit of a bland shape compared to the chintzy C230.

Spottedlaurel would have been the man to ask, but he don't come here no more.

Presuming it's tidy and on the road then anything from £700 - £1300 for a relatively easy sale I'd had thought.

There's a nice one on C+C at the moment for a touch under £3000. I'd say that was about the upper limit of what a C31 would fetch.

Welcome to Autoshite. Nice car, I like those Laurel's even if they are a tad bland as already mentioned. I think Triggers estimate is probably in the right area. As with everything it comes down to condition, roadworthiness and, if it's a sale you're after, how much effort you can be bothered to put in.

If you are looking to move it on it's about making it as saleable as you can; pull it out of storage, wash it off, carefully take some proper photos, spend a bit of time on a readable and coherent description and stick it on ebay, £100 start. With any luck it'll find its true value.

If the carbs are knackered and are hitachi's (as per 240/260Z) then spare parts are a barstard as they are metric not imperial SUs.

Otherwise I like that a lot and GLWTS etc.

I like pictures of cars.

I think theres at least two other AS members that like pictures of cars.

Its safe to say that pictures of this car would aid in compelling a sale, or even an accurate evaluation of worth.

Or if you cant be bothered, I've got £400 for it.

I would take some pics and stick it up on here, if no one takes it here then stick it on retro rides as a project,

concentrate on the bodywork and interior for the pics. Any history you have - ie who owned it, how you got it etc all helps

I can't comment, I've been selling cars on AS over the last week with zinch pics but then again Dodgey Dicky's Diamond Dealze are well know in these parts for selling timeless and beautifully cared for slices of motoring heritage to the discerning buyer!
