Cheapest place for Rattle cans..

Hi I wonder if someone could give me some advice on where to get my hands on some metallic green rattle cans for my Audi..

I should be able to make an invisible repair on the bumper if I can get the colour ok and I would take it too a mate to paint but it's hardly worth spending about £150 on a car which is only worth £300...

I tried my local poundlaaand but to no avail

If you want it mixed to the paint code on the car, you should be able to find a local parts supplier that does refinishing too.

I used to hit up a place down the road that did parts but would also mix paint too. It was usually closer than a Halfords chimp mixing it up and a quid or so cheaper per can too. You'll have to ring round a few though since not many will do it.

eBay the colour code you can usually get kits with colour and laquer for about 15 quid.

Yup, if you have the code for the paint and take it somebody who knows what they're doing, it will be fine.

And here's some Partridge advice: never throw your last can of paint out.

It's easy to think "My car is white. White is white, right?" Wrong...

wilko's do massive cans of satin black for four or five notes. do the whole car for a score and look like a twat with a wrap..

I have to pop over to Eastbourne next week so I will have a look in the local poundland over there...

I've tried Hastings and Bexhill with no joy..

But the worst scenario is I get a 400 ml mix made up in Amazon green and it only needs a flat back and some primer so it's a very easy repair.

I decided in the end to take the car down to get a quote for the bumper repair and it's going to cost £80 for the repair..

While I was at it I asked for a quote for my keyed drivers side front and rear doors and my bonnet has lost its shine and got a small dent so I've decided to get the lot done.

It will most probably cost about the same price as the cars worth (£300to£400) but the way I look at it I will have an Audi A4 which will come back looking as good as new which I know will never let me down.

Plus the car has still only done 65000 at 19 years old and drives as good as new plus the interior is immaculate.

So much for a cheap stop gap it's the longest I've ever owned a car at 4 years..But I've got quite attached to the old girl..
