vulgalour Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 As 2014 draws to a close I have managed to get Chegger's yacht picture finished. Slightly mangled by the scanner but not too appalling. I'm even less likely to do more boat pictures than I am bikes, I think, as I feel completely out of my depth with them. But that said, if there's interest I'm more than willing to give them a go, especially as I'm usually my harshest critic when it comes to trying anything new out. fordperv and drum 2
320touring Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 That looks spot on dude! May have to get a commission of you in 2015:) vulgalour 1
vulgalour Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 The last thing of 2014 automotively speaking is the one commission I simply didn't want to part with. I'm a tough critic so most of the time there are imagined flaws in my work that makes it easier to part with. This wasn't one of those, I wanted to keep it and hang it on my own wall and that doesn't happen very often at all. This is Iris, DS20's Citroen of much character and appeal. Completed in watercolour and acrylic with inspiration taken directly from sales brochures of the 1960s. The original is A3 in size, absolutely necessary to give this one the full impact. Happily, I keep print files of every piece so I can provide myself with a facsimile when I've got some decent A3 paper to print it on! Shep Shepherd, Jim Bergerac, DS20 and 2 others 5
vulgalour Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 To kick off 2015 I bought some new ink brush pens to try out and I've been enjoying playing with the small selection I've got. I've found they're best used in conjunction with the drawing pens and watercolours I currently use, I'm still learning how to get the best results from them. This Riley 4/72 is a result of said experimentation, it's very green! I had thought to do something more subtle colour wise but the more I look at this the more I like it. Original is for sale should you wish to purchase it, a mere £40 including P&P worldwide. HMC and fordperv 2
vulgalour Posted January 7, 2015 Author Posted January 7, 2015 There's [insert problem here] wrong with it, you'll have to send it back so I can fix it. DS20 1
vulgalour Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Recently completed this Range Rover picture for shiter Tayne. The colours scanned very strangely for some reason, I've fixed them as best I can. I've had a loose idea for some limited colour pieces utilising the brush pens I've got and had a go at a Cadillac. I just have to find a suitable frame for it now, this one isn't for sale at the moment. brickwall, eddyramrod, Ghosty and 1 other 4
vulgalour Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 Update time again. Another picture for a shiter, this time for Ruffgeezer. Quite a challenge for the portrait in this one as I was working from a rough picture and Ruff's guidance, but an enjoyable challenge nonetheless. Essex V6 1
vulgalour Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 This one is a double-commission for someone on the blue forum of his BMW Alpina and his Porsche Carrera, lyrics courtesy of Sir Mix-a-lot. What you can't see in the scan is that the graphics on the BMW are metallic gold, something that scans as more of a sort of brown. I'm also now open for new commission work, if there's anyone you know that might want a picture of just about anything, do drop me a line. Prices inclusive of P&P/Shipping worldwide:Sketch - £10Ink only - £20Ink and colour - £40Colour only - £60 Cars, lorries, busses, houses, boats, people, animals, made-up stuff... fordperv, mrbenn and Partridge 3
Essex V6 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Yes, would you consider sending it out to NZ (if the postage isn't too outrageous)?
vulgalour Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 The £3.50 listed should cover the postage cost, so £13.50 for the Capri inc. P&P. If you send me your Paypal address and your postal address via PM here I'll get an invoice sent out to you and get it away with the next post run.
fred Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Yup, thats mine I commisioned , cant believe it been that long - still hanging in the lounge pride of place buddy ! vulgalour and fordperv 2
Tayne Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Recently completed this Range Rover picture for shiter Tayne. The colours scanned very strangely for some reason, I've fixed them as best I can.2015-008.jpg I was pleased to receive this today. The scan above doesn't really do it justice. Not sure where I'm going to hang it yet though...
vulgalour Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 Glad to hear it arrived safely, thought I'd sent you an e-mail, turns out it's still sat in my drafts folder for some reason.
Tayne Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I had forgotten it was coming to work.I was handed it, found the return address and thought of our granite supplier who's near you.I then saw the surname and thought of this guy...
vulgalour Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 yes.... my late Mum and my Dad used to get called George and Mildred when I was little because they had a bike and sidecar. Shep Shepherd and Tayne 2
vulgalour Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 Ooh look, another freshly completed commission. Fox people! Beetles! Bright colours! I enjoyed this one. More please! Zelandeth, Shep Shepherd and fordperv 3

Austin Devon - £40 deliveredInitially had trouble really getting on with this image, but I stuck with it and the result now is rather pleasing and very green. It's been added to my stock for sale and is available to purchase now. Suggestion FridayI'm bringing back this once popular fixture. The rules are simple, every week you suggest by comment or PM what vehicles you'd like to see me tackle and I pick one that I like the idea of every week. Any era, any model, stock or modified. The completed pieces will then be available to purchase should you so wish. fordperv 1
Tayne Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Its not Friday, but how about a Panther Solo? Do i have to wait until Friday?
vulgalour Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 On Friday I pick my favourite suggestion, the following Friday I release the artwork. So that means people should suggest away up until Friday and then next Friday I'll draw a car. Panther Solo is a STRONG contender!
fordperv Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Mk1 sierra base in that pov model blue with black grille and dangly mirrors
vulgalour Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Looks like you have. Nice to see the suggestions aren't easy to pick between, just like before.
vulgalour Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 I'm extending the suggestions deadline to this Friday, the 20th of March. Reason being I didn't leave much time when I opened this up for suggestions to come in and I'm having serious difficulty choosing between the current offerings, all three are equally tempting!
fordperv Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 What about a purple 1965 mercury comet convertable with lowrider styling ShiteRider 1
