Kangoo Van for sale - £1k

This is my step father's van which has been used for going to work and carting a few logs around. He drives like a nun and the overall condition suggests the previous drivers did too. This is anything but a used and abused van.

2002, Red, 1.9D

1 previous owner (Barnlesy council) up until 2010 ish.

65k ish miles, tidy as you like inside and out with only one dent on the rear door which hasnt broken the paint.

It had a print out of servicing from the council when they bought it which they have lost . Cambelt was done at 48k about 5 years ago so just about due another. Serviced by local garag since but again they havent kept any reciepts.

tax until April, will check MOT but many months left.

Tyres all have decent tread

Towbar.

Only issuse has been with the remote keyfob which they had repaired and has been fine since.

No offers or they will chop it in, personally think it's very good value! Pics to follow.

They are replacing this only because the local council changed the rules on what they would allow in the local tip without a permit and are now looking for a Kangoo car. Is there any type of engine which they should be looking for or avoiding?

Just stick side windows and a rear seat in the van and hey presto, the local tip will welcome them with open skips!!

Ha! Ok is there a sliding scale of shitness? They are convinced they want another but no doubt the next one won't be as reliable, especially if DCi or this new fangled turbo charged nonsense.

I've mentioned before that I have lots of love for those naturally-aspirated F8Q engines. They are massively under-rated so they are a very cheap way into diesel ownership for those of us who don't wish to pay OMG XUD/TDi prices.

As Cavette implies, later Renault diesel offerings can be a world of pain, so if your folks are getting another Kangoo they should stick with the F-type models.
