Car show stuff, what to do?

I do quite a few shows and all I do is park my car up and wander off whilst the wife walks the dog, I know quite a few people now, especially now that I run a local facebook car club, so I normally end up chatting all day which avoids the silly questions about my cars.

One of my favourites was the Granada club who turned up at Battlesbridge one day, got out a stack of boards and hid all the cars up behind them.

I sensed from your initial reply to my observation of this 'pastime' that you weren't too keen !!

Get a fuggin life!

It looks from your subsequent posts that you're warming to the idea quite well now

Well, I'm quite lucky, all things considered.

You're a;; taking it too seriously FFS. if you dont like car shows don't go to them!! But dont choose to go to one and then grumble about the folk mucking about with badge boards and cuddly toys and that. Thats what a car show is!!! FFS I WENT TO A SUPERMARKET YESTERDAY AND EVERY SINGLE SHELF WAS CHOCK FULL OF BASTARD FOOD!!!!! WHAT A JOKE, I'M NOT GOING TO SUPERMARKETS ANY MORE.

I didn't say I didn't like and enjoy them!

The 'characters' are part of the charm..........also fun to just loaf around the car and people watch/take piss.............I am after all quite unpleasant.

I think I offend a strong 5% of participants at any one of these events.

A combination of snide comments and look of haughty derision and occasional disdain are the order of the day.

I love car shows me like

I love that photo.  Golden Graham and his Ghia!  Seeing sights like that makes shows worth going to IMO.  I'm off to Prescott in a few weeks and you get a fair bit of comedy to observe there in the form of the red trouser and brogues brigade.  But to be fair some of them are quite interesting to talk to, posh old boys with tales to tell.
