It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to give someone else a chance to save this lovely old beast, I have too many other projects on the go and this keeps on taking a back seat.

So, no mot or tax, been off the road for 6 months, started every so often but now low on diesel as the fuel light works!

Will move but stupidly left handbrake on and now one of the rear drums is stuck.

Its quite frilly but should last a few years longer yet.

Almost everything works, theres sometimes a crunch in second gear and the clutch sometimes slips but that's really about it.

Heres the mot fail list Tested October 2012

Offside Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (8.2.3)

Offside Front constant velocity joint gaiter deteriorated to the extent that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt etc (2.5.C.1a)

Offside Front chassis member Subframe mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded (2.4.A.3)

Offside Rear inner sill Suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded (2.4.A.3)

Offside Front Brake hose excessively deteriorated (3.6.B.4d)

Offside Front Upper Suspension arm ball joint dust cover excessively deteriorated so that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt (2.4.G.2)

that looks like a nice car. shame it has all thous problems.

A couple of patches and some small things for mot is hardly any issue, Just out of interest, would anyone be interested in the car if it had a years mot?

With 12 months mot I'd thought you'd still get £500 for this, is it not worth spending a few pounds and getting it fixed?

Nisfan said if no-one buys it he'd give it to me, I'd fix it and drive it...

Can vouch this is a bloody great old workhorse. I drove it from Edinburgh to Aberdeen and back a good few times (240 mile round trip) with no issues. Its sits at 75-80 all day and returns frankly BRILLIANT mpg. Nisfan if you need it tested I have a mate locally that could do the welding etc  cheaply and get it roadworthy.

It is scabby and frilly round the edges, but with massive mpg and at this price - who cares.

thanks for the offer dave but i can do most of the stuff myself while 'something awful' can do the welding. Its on less than 50k miles as well.

Being the other end of the country precludes me from stepping in here but I really hope someone is able to rescue this.
