Aside from my position as C15 salesman, I also found the time to start putting up a fence, and also got along to a Garage retirement auction, full details to come, but here is a pic of some of my haul:

I didn't need this but for a quid it seemed worth saving:

Anyone do any wire mesh fastening? This lot is for sale if so:

Oh and what the flip are these? I have a box of thousands of them!

More to come as time allows!

Ok proper update time!

The news came through in the local papers recently that there would be a workshop dispersal sale early in April, there were a few pictures of some of the items included in the auction, but no real details.

Those of you in the class who have been paying attention may remember I was leaning towards a go at this place:

Well the time wasn't right and we set our hearts elsewhere, and meantime the garage closed, and the owner decided to auction off the contents, I will detail what went down below.

It was a bright but bloody cold Saturday morning, the vendor had decided that the only viewing for this sale would be on the day of the sale, viewing from 8am, sale from 10am. Luckily, the garage is only 5 miles from where I live, so it wasn't a problem to scoot up there relatively early, and have a good look at what was on offer, I would estimate there was 2-300 people in attendance come the actual sale, but relatively few actually did any proper bidding.

Here are the sneak peaks from the sale ad:

Needless to say, there was plenty of other tat to peruse, a lot of which I bid on, and some of which I ended up bringing home with me!

This picture is only half of what I ended up buying, but shows some of the bigger items:

The Stihl strimmer was a bit of a gamble, the bidding was so low on it, I chanced my arm at £20 for it and that was where the cane fell, I have no use for it personally, but thought Ruffdaddy (hehehe) might. I took it straight round to him after the sale, and after a bit of priming with fresh 2 stroke mix, we had it up and running, result!

It seems to be a theme with these auctions that some things barely get off of the ground and others hit insane prices, for example, from the garage's shop there was a tray of WD40, 9 unused tins and 3 open tins, £22 was the final bid on these, you'd have to be nuts to bid that surely?

On the other hand, I accidentally bought this for a quid, I wasn't that interested in it, but it was hiding 5 expensive seat covers in one of the drawers!

The most interesting part for me was workshop clearance, the tyre sale portions were attended by several trade buyers, so it was difficult to get in on any sales there, although I did end up buying some shelves complete with the contents, including the mesh kit clips as seen above.

I also bought 2 boxes of NOS air filters, if anyone wants any of these, £2.50 each plus the postage would be grand!

The Bradbury fetched a mere £360 I believe, and a shade over a grand for the 2 poster.

Ok then, who can guess what a 1.1 Peugeot 206 with 176k, no tax or ticket and a weepy headgasket goes for?

Nope, two old giffers seemed intent on duking it out for the honours of owning such shit, the hammer fell at £300!
