Just spotted this at the Newhaven branch of Asda in Edinburgh. I dont know if other stores around the country have it or if its exclusive to this store. It must be cheap though at this money so i grabbed 5 bottles (Mrs C not happy).lol.

A litre??

So effectively nearly £20 for a gallon? Doesn't seem particularly cheap to me. :?

If you have a Home Bargains nearby they do a 4 litre one for £10, semi synthetic I think as well.

Sometimes ASDA do a 4 litre bottle for a tenner so £4 a litre isn't that much of a deal I'm afraid. :(

I was always led to believe that Castrol GTX was a fairly poor oil but that's probably heresay?

£4 for a gallon or so would be a deal - as mentioned, get the 4L jug of Gulf OIl at Homebargains.

Glad its not just me thinking £4 a litre wasn't that cheap. I'm not that up on prices of oil tbh but that didn't sound like a bargain to me.

Local discount store has Asda brand for £1.49 a litre. Now that's the Autoshite way

Buyology. I've bought 30 ltrs of the 15w 40 diesel stuff this week.

That's the one - do they have any other stores besides Plymouth? Other excellent recent purchases from there include out of date Alton Towers popcorn and 10 Rice Krispie squares for £1

It would appear so & in all the affluent areas:

Picked up 5ltrs of Euro Car Parts branded, 5 year antifreeze for about a fiver - saving a good 15 quid on the ECP price. Loving their sub 1 quid, foreign markets Kellogg's cereals atm
