I have a strange desire to own an Austin 1300 GT, for reasons that I can't explain.........anyone out there..............?

Strangely enough, there's an Austin 1300 GT listed on the bay of e at this very moment... not cheap though.

I could have sworn that someone on here has an Austin 1300 for sale in thier tagline thing at the bottom of thier posts.

 

That Harvest gold one looks a bit crap for 2 grand, I suppose it could be a decent buy if it really is solid but thats pretty unlikely. The rot hides pretty well on these, I was hoping to put a small patch on the back of the nearside outer sill on ours and have ended up having to replace half the rear cross member, the rear arch, 3' of inner sill and a good chunk of floorpan

I think the KBY registered one lived by me for about 20 years. If not, it was a very, very similar one.

 

I always quite fancied a go in it. Same bloke had a very tricked up orange one as well. That was bloody quick.
