I have an IXO PV544 that might be your bag - the case top's shot to pieces and it's missing a foglight and door mirror, but other than that it's tip top and 1:43 scale.

is that one of these

tbh i'm always intrested in models, its only the prices that scare me

@tayne, you want it restoring

It is, but mine's the black and white Safari model.

Imagine it with one missing foglight, no passenger door mirror, a different plinth and a mullered case top. It seems like IXO and Altaya produced versions of it, but the model itself is the same. I'd be after a fiver plus a couple of quid postage for it, as it doesn't really fit in with the rest of my stuff. What do you think?

Bedford Astramax

Fucking hell, I'd forgotten about them. I'm fairly sure I've got a toy one of 'em from when I was a kid...it was either that or an Escort van...when I'm next able to get into my grandmother's loft I'll have a look for you.

YO! Any good?

BMC 1100/1300 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1967-MORRIS-1100- ... 35a8c2a04a

BMC Oxford / Cambridge - large fins! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUSTIN-CAMBRIDGE- ... 439e9342de

Escort Mk2 (non sporty) Minichamps did one, we are out of stock at present though. Similarly, have a search for Trofeu models as they have done a lot of Mk2 Escorts.

Solido also did a Mk 2 Escort,Corgi did the Mk 1 Cortina Woody Estate,& there is a white metal Rapier Fastback(Lansdowne?)

An old boy of my recent acquaintance (who is not a net savvy silver surfer type) has asked me if I can assist him in finding model of the following (pref 1:43 scale)

Austin Maxi - Gearbox Maxi club model 1994 (rare), Milestone Miniatures (expensive), Airfix kit (both)

BMC 1100/1300 - Spot On, Dinky, Ixo, Norev, Vanguards, Vitesse

Standard Pennant - Pathfinder (hugely expensive)

Sunbeam Alpine/Rapier/H120 (arrow) - Pathfinder (expensive)

Fiesta Mk3 - Schabak XR2i

Cortina Mk1 estate - Corgi 1960s

BMC Oxford / Cambridge - large fins! - Vanguards, Cararama but A60 versions only except for tiny Matchbox A55

Escort Mk2 (non sporty) - Trofeu, Minichamps, Solido, Vitesse

Bedford Astramax - AHC/Doorkey I think, certainly a Dutch make

Sooki Supercarry / Bedford Rascal - no idea

Hillman Minx ser.V / singer gazelle ser.V - Spot On

Austin 7 Ruby - Crossways (expensive)

Austin 10 - 1939 Cambridge by Somerville

Morris 8 Tourer - Crossways (expensive)

Hope that helps. I have most of those above. Cortina estate and Astramax do not come readily to hand and I sold the Pennant for a huge sum last year. Let me know if you want to see any better pics

All good calls - I wouldn't have known about the older 50s & 60s stuff tbh as it's not my era!

Yes, to my knowledge I'm unaware of any model of a Bedford Rascal / Suzuki Supercarry although I wouldn't mind models of these minivans, Acty & Hijet included!

That was almost certainly me, that's definitely on my wants list - how much?

You have PM

Theres a picture of my Astramax model, a seller on ebay had alot of them for sale a little while ago, they arent worth more than £15. Pretty good models, nothing special but the only one around. I doubt anyone else will ever make one.

I've got a MkV Escort van by them too (or is it a MkVI?!). It's the same shape as the MkV but it has the oval grille at the front.

MKVI I think it is, not too sure! They are a whole lot rarer! Ive seen one for sale in the past year, think it went for £20ish. Its a shame AHC/Doorkey arent around anymore, they modelled some real weird ones.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tomica did at least one of those,it would be in small(1/64?)scale if they did though. As for the A55 with large fins, there is one :). I've seen it at Toyfairs,it comes on a small diorama base. Not sure who makes it though

Possibly part of the 'Route Bleue' series by Altaya. Was only issued in France and each model was a small diorama depicting a differing roadside scene. We have a couple of other of them in stock but can't (so far at least) get the rest imported at a sensible enough price. The A55 was called something like "English Tourists" and had a couple stood by the car studying a map.

Not urinating in a hedge whilst flicking V signs at passers by, the ground littered with empty beer cans??
